Harrison Head Football Coach Joel Wells Looks Forward to Season

Harrison Head Football Coach Joel Wells spoke with KHOZ’s Around The Table on Thursday; the first game of the season is Friday night.

“It’s gone well,” Wells said of the summer off season. He said he is excited for them to get the opportunity to play. He highlighted returning players and new players. “We feel like we’re going to have a better football team, certainly a better defensive football team than we had last year.”

Wells said this year if a game is canceled because of COVID-19, it is considered a forfeit. In addition to this, if a player is fully vaccinated quarantine is not necessary. The team currently takes three buses to spread players out in case of infection.

The full show featuring Williams is on Around The Table’s Facebook Page.
