A Branson Track Freshman is getting started in rewriting the program's record book.
Branson Track Assistant Coach Gary Neal tells MOARK Sports that freshman Alexis Carter broke the school’s 1600m record last week at the meet at Southwest Baptist University. According to the results posted from the meet on the Mile Split MO Website, her time of 5:07.70 earned her a second place finish.
Neal added that Carter came within fractions of a second from breaking the school’s 800m record. Her time in that race according to Mile Split was 2:17.83 which earned her first place.
Carter's efforts helped the Lady Pirates to a sixth place finish in the 19 school event.
