The College of the Ozarks Men's Basketball team turned back the clock in a national tournament win at the Keeter Athletic Complex on Wednesday.
For 18 years, C of O was the host for the NAIA Division Two Men's National Basketball Championships claiming one title and finishing second twice. The Bobcats were always a tough first round draw and would often beat a favorite team in that opening round.
In their second year hosting the National Christian College Athletic Association Tournament, the Bobcats pulled off an upset victory over a team that was also a regular at the NAIA event. Bethel College, this year's top seed, fell to the Bobcats 92-80. Garrett Snyder led the Bobcats with 33 points as they advance to the semifinals at 5:15 this afternoon against Columbia International, who hit a shot at the buzzer to beat Ohio Christian 91-90.
Meanwhile, the top seeded College of the Ozarks did not have a let down in their opening game as the Lady Bobcats cruised by Paine College 104-42 behind the 25 points of Logan Jones. The Lady Bobcats play at 8:45 tonight against Cedarville in the semi-finals.
Games begin at 8:30 this morning and continue throughout the day.
