The College of the Ozarks prepped for defense of the NCCAA Division One Women's Basketball Championship by earning a spot and two games this past weekend in the NAIA National Basketball Championship.

Because the school is entered in both organizations, they earned an At-Large Spot in the NAIA Regional this past weekend at Mitchell South Dakota. The Lady Bobcats beat Eastern Oregon in the opening round 82-67 before falling to host Dakota Wesleyan 76-53.

Due to their elimination from the NAIA Tournament, the Lady Bobcats now return home and will defend their National Christian College Athletic Association National Championship as one of the eight teams in the field this week at Point Lookout.

The Men's Tournament, also at Point Lookout, will include the Bobcats who enter play as the Central Region Champion.

Games will begin on Wednesday with both teams in action, the Bobcats against top seed Bethel at 5:15 followed by the top seeded Lady Bobcats playing Paine College at 7:00.

More information on this weekend's games plus the upcoming NCCAA Tournament at C of O can be found on the C of O Sports Website.
