CAM is setting up a collection for cash and food items during the football season to bring awareness to hunger issues in the Lakes Region as well as help keep the Food Pantries stocked.
CAM Executive Director Michele Dean said over $500 was raised at the first “Tackle Hunger” event last Friday at Reeds Spring prior to the Wolves home football game with Forsyth. Dean added that the money raised in that one event will feed 1700 individuals.
The second of three events takes place at Branson Friday in advance of the Pirates’ Homecoming Game against Parkview. CAM Volunteers will be at the gate collecting food and money prior to the game plus during the game as students will do a “Dash for Cash” at the end of the fist quarter.
The third and final “Tackle Hunger” event will take place on October 23 in Forsyth prior to the Panthers home game against Hollister.
