Reeds Spring High School will host the area Class 2 District Softball Tournament in May.
The tournament, which also includes area teams Forsyth, Hollister, and Spokane, will be seeded this week.
Catholic and Clever are expected to be the top two seeds with the host Lady Wolves playing well, having won seven games in a row including claiming the Galena Tournament Championship. The winning streak also includes avenging an earlier loss to Forsyth as they won 6-5 after the Lady Panthers had claimed a 5-3 win at the Forsyth Tournament. The Lady Wolves also defeated Hollister during their streak.
Forsyth has has a tougher stretch. losing 10 of 12 games but did pick-up a win Friday over Marion C Early 4-3.
The rest of the field for the tournament includes Marionville, Sparta, and Strafford.
The tournament will begin on Thursday May 7 and will run through the championship game on Wednesday May 13.
