While most area High School Athletes are off this week, golfers in Arkansas have already begun the 2023 season.
Earlier this week, Mountain Home hosted the Ultimate Auto Group High School Invitational Tournament at Big Creek Golf and Country Club.
The event, one of the annual first tournaments to begin the season, featured several schools from around the region.
According to results posted by KTLO, Russellville won the boys tournament, Mount St. Mary the girls competition.
In the boys tournament, Harrison took home sixth place, Flippin 11th, and Bergman 14th. Isaac Freeman was the Goblins top finisher, taking home 21st in the individual competition while Tucker Thompson finished 35th for Flippin and Kaden Ponder took home 19th plae for Bergman.
On the girls’ side, Harrison ended up fourth overall with Jacklyn Tapley finishing 15th individually.
Harrison joined Bergman and Valley Springs in a golf match Wednesday with more events scheduled next week with many schools beginning their Tennis Seasons.
