As the 2025 High School Football season opened, the fans around Missouri got to see what the school's postseason competition looked like.
As it has the last several years, the Missouri State High School Activities Association posted the Class and District Assignments for schools in the fall sport of Football, Softball, Volleyball, Girls Golf and Tennis, and Boys Soccer. Cross Country Districts will be released in September.
In football, the major change for the Lakes Region Schools involved Forsyth as they dropped back down to Class 2 after a season at Class 3. For Branson, they remain Class 5 but with the dropping of Springfield Central's Football program, MSHAA shifted the Pirates along with Parkview, Republic, and Willard to the west were they will reunite with old Central Ozark Conference Foes Carthage, Neosho, and Webb City in a district.
In Class 3, with Mount Vernon takes the spot vacated by Forsyth with the other schools joining Hollister and Reeds Spring remaining the same; Aurora, Cassville East Newton, and Seneca.
Forsyth's Class 2 District will include Ava, Fair Grove, Houston, Mt. View-Liberty, Springfield Catholic, and Willow Springs.
After the nine-week football regular season, the point system based on teams results will be used to determine seeds, match-ups, and locations for games in the District Tournaments.
