After two straight years residing in Hollister, the Backyard Battle Trophy heads back to Reeds Spring after the Wolves shutout the Tigers 47-0 in Hollister Saturday afternoon.
The Wolves (3-5) had a successful onside kick to begin the game which ended in a score. After not scoring on the next two drives, the Wolves closed out the half scoring two more touchdowns to lead at half 19-0.
The Wolves were led offensively by Izek Hayes who rushed for 190 yards and three touchdowns while also catching a touchdown pass.
The Tigers (0-8) were shutout for the fourth time in a row this season and for the fifth time in their eight games. The Tigers had an early opportunity to score getting down to the 10 yard line before a penalty pushed them back and they turned the ball over on downs.
Both teams wrap-up the regular season next Friday with the Wolves at home to Clever while the Tigers will play at Forsyth.
