The Pirates got the Football Week started early with a Thursday match-up in Springfield against Hillcrest. Much like the Pirates earlier trip to Springfield that resulted in an upset loss at the hands of Parkview, the Pirates had trouble getting on track and after their short opening drive resulted in a touchdown, the Pirate offense bogged down while the Hornets were able to move the ball. Unlike the Parkview game, the Pirate defense got two stops in the red zone to keep the score 7-0 at half. The Pirates defense forced a safety early in the second half, the first of 22 straight points to end the game and secure the win. Pirate Special teams also chipped in with a shank punt being caught by Sam Verashka and returned for a score. Noah McCright scored twice and Vincente Pastrana added a score as the Pirates finish the regular season 7-2 and a perfect 6-0 in the Ozark Mountain Conference to claim the second outright conference title in the league's two years of existence.  The Pirates also secure a home playoff game as the district's fourth seed.

The game started fast with two scores in the first 61 seconds of the contest and the scoring continued through the night. Bryce Whitman had another big night rushing for over 220 yards and scoring several touchdowns and two point conversions to help the Tigers. The Wolves kept coming back, including taking  21-16 lead at half. As the teams exchanged scores in the second half, a Whitman interception in the third quarter helped the Tigers get a two-score lead and hold on from there. Keegan Fish had a big night for the Wolves rushing for 196 yards and five touchdowns. Hollister wins the Backyard Battle Trophy for the second year in a row and secure a home playoff game next week in District play while the Wolves remain winless on the season.
